Chris Priestley

Head Coach / Head of Operations

With us from the start, Chris heads up the operations side of Burnhill FC, leading on best practice, club development and the day to day football activities including coaching all sessions.

Sports First Aid certified and SFA qualified to 1.3 level, Chris is currently studying for his UEFA C Licence. He regularly engages in community development courses and EDI training on the behalf of the club.

Nels, Club captain

"The work Chris has done at Burnhill is incredible and goes far beyond football. He was used football to build an incredible community inclusive club, that embodies social cohesion and values of anti racism, anti oppression. Burnhill sets a standard that only the best anti-racist community organisations achieve."

Sara, Club chair

"Chris has the toughest role at the club. He shows up week in, week out for our players, even when they are struggling to show up for themselves. That sort of commitment helps players believe in their abilities on and off the pitch - it  transforms their lives."

Sam, Player

"Chris has great people skills, he’s good at getting right down to the player level, explaining stuff really well for guys that haven't played as much football in the past. Yeah, I think he's a really good coach."

Sufyaan, Player

"The community organisation spirit is always there, he's always encouraging you, getting you to learn better from your mistakes and just get better over time. The people who joined at any level of skill, are much better than they used to be and that is because of Chris."

Musa, Player

"He always wants to help you, especially as an asylum seeker. He makes you better, I appreciate him a lot."
